Mr Pieter Kruger is an experienced Orthopaedic surgeon based in Whakatane. He completed his studies at the University of Pretoria in South Africa and has been practicing as an Orthopaedic surgeon since 2002.

​Mr Kruger brings over a total of 24 years of experience in his field. He had 13 years of experience from his private practice in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. He has been working at the Whakatane Hospital since 2016. He is now working in Private practice only.
Now focusing on private practice since 2023, he operates at Rotorua Southern Cross Hospital and Grace Hospital in Tauranga.

Hip
Mr. Kruger does Total Hip Replacements using the direct Anterior approach, ensuring minimally invasive techniques for faster recovery and optimal outcomes for patients suffering from Osteoarthritis of the hip. Ensuring less pain and easier rehab for patients. Less blood loss during surgery.

The Lateral approach is also used for Total Hip Replacements.
